Teaching Personnel are working with several schools in the Dorceshter area who require Teaching Assistants on a Supply and Cover basis. 

This role would work well for someone looking to gain more experience in the education sector and have the flexibility to choose the days and hours you work. This could also suit someone who may be semi-retired but wants to keep a foot in the working world on their own terms.

Teaching Assistant role:

  • Working on Day to day, block bookings and or Long-Term bookings.
  • Working at different schools in the area or repeat bookings for the same schools.
  • No two days are the same, working with multiple pupils and various teachers.
  • Flexibility to pick the days you want to work.

Duties:

  • Supporting the class teacher with delivering engaging lesson plans.
  • Making sure full engagement of the class, supporting pupils that may require extra attention. 
  • Possibility of working 1:1 with pupils with challenging behavior or low level SEN requirements.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or vulnerable adults.
  • Knowledge of Safeguarding
  • Ability to support a whole class.
  • A Child only Enhanced DBS which is on the Update Service (Teaching Personnel can assist with this)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
