Job Advertisement: Teaching Assistant Roles – SEN School in Cranborne, Wimborne

Position: 2 x Full-Time Teaching Assistants
Location: Cranborne, Wimborne
Start Date: ASAP

Are you passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Do you have experience working with secondary-aged pupils who have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? If so, we would love to hear from you!

We are currently seeking two dedicated and empathetic Teaching Assistants to join our SEN school in Cranborne, Wimborne. Our school provides a nurturing environment for secondary-aged pupils, and we are looking for individuals who can make a positive impact on the lives of these students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and group support to pupils with SEMH needs.

  • Assist in the delivery of tailored learning plans and interventions.

  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.

  • Support the teacher in managing classroom behaviour and ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.

  • Work closely with colleagues to monitor student progress and development.

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with secondary-aged pupils, particularly those with SEMH or similar needs.

  • A compassionate, patient, and resilient approach to working with young people.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to creating a supportive learning environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
