Teaching Assistants / Support Staff – Dorset (Flexible Opportunities)

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with complex SEMH and/or SEND needs? Do you want to make a difference by helping them build resilience, regain confidence, and develop essential life skills?

We are working with a unique educational setting in Dorset that offers a variety of learning environments, including farms, workshops, and specialist educational spaces. Their holistic approach provides therapeutic, practical, and academic support tailored to the needs of each child.

The Role

We are seeking Teaching Assistants / Support Staff to join the team on a flexible basis. While the role is primarily focused on providing therapeutic and practical support, some responsibilities will also include assisting children with Maths and English. This makes the role well-suited to educators and tutors with experience across a range of subjects.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Educators with experience providing therapeutic support to children and young people with additional needs.

  • Individuals who are confident, adaptable, and able to engage pupils in both classroom and outdoor learning environments.

  • Applicants who hold a full driving licence and are willing to travel between multiple sites across Dorset (primarily in the north and west of the county).

  • Those who are open to flexible working arrangements to begin with. Hours are typically 09:15 – 15:00/15:30, though days may vary.

  • People who are comfortable working in outdoor settings, including on farms and in workshops.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
