Reception Teaching Assistant – Primary School (September Start)
Location: NP26 Area
Start Date: September 2025
Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in the NP26 area to recruit a dedicated Reception Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young learners in their early years, helping to create a positive, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can thrive.
Role Responsibilities:
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities in line with the EYFS framework
- Work 1:1 and in small groups to help pupils develop core skills in literacy, numeracy, and communication
- Encourage positive behaviour and social development through play-based learning and structured activities
- Assist with setting up and tidying learning environments, ensuring they are safe and welcoming
- Observe and record pupil progress to support assessment and individual learning plans
Requirements:
- Experience working with children in an educational, childcare, or nursery setting (desirable)
- A patient, caring, and proactive attitude towards supporting young learners
- Ability to work well within a team and build strong relationships with staff and pupils
- A valid Enhanced Child Workforce DBS (or willingness to apply)
- Availability for a September start

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
