Reception Teaching Assistant – NP26 | September Start
Location: Caldicot area, NP26
Start Date: September 2025
Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (term time only)
Pay Rate: £13.75 per hour
Are you passionate about supporting young children in their first steps into education? Teaching Personnel is currently seeking a Reception Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in the NP26 area from September 2025.
The Role:
We are looking for a nurturing and enthusiastic individual to support a Reception class, working alongside the class teacher to help deliver a fun, engaging, and structured learning environment. Your role will include:

Supporting pupils with early learning activities across the EYFS curriculum
-
Encouraging development through play-based and structured activities
-
Assisting the teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management
-
Providing 1:1 and group support to pupils with varying needs
-
Creating a positive and inclusive environment for all children
The Ideal Candidate Will:
-
Have experience working with children in an EYFS setting (school or nursery)
-
Be confident, patient, and adaptable to the needs of young learners
-
Have a good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum
-
Be able to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
-
Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
