Teaching Assistant

An Ofsted graded 'outstanding' SEN school in Radcliffe, Bury are looking for three Teaching assistants to support children with complex needs within their school on a long term basis. The ideal Teaching assistant for these vacancies will have experience in education and specialist educational needs, however school have detailed that candidates from other sectors will be considered.

This school is a 98 place school that provides the best possible support for pupils with complex medical, communication and physical needs. Some children also have Autism Spectrum Condition that can result in challenging behaviours. The school caters for pupils aged 4 - 11 throughout 10 mixed ability classes. Pupil’s communication needs result in alternative methods of communication being used around school, such as iPads, PECs, Braille and BSL. Promoting independence is a main focus within this school therefore staff that share this passion is essential.

• Moving and Handling

• PEG feeds

• Tracheostomies

• Personal Care
