Teaching Assistant in Bournemouth - Mental Health

Job description

Teaching Personnel are seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support pupils with mental health needs, in the Bournemouth area.

Our client school is a Secondary SEN setting, catering for pupils aged 11-18 years, with a range of mental health needs including Anxiety.

You will be working with the pupils on a 1-1 basis, supporting them with their work and providing emotional support. Some of the pupils can display challenging behaviour so you must be confident supporting this.

To be successful in this role you should:

  • have experience supporting people with mental health and/or behaviour needs
  • have a calm/nurturing approach
  • be resilient and confident with challenging behaviour

This is a full time role to start in September 2019. This is a temporary role, with the opportunity to go permanent for the right candidate.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
