I am looking for a Teaching Assistant aged 3-19 with primarily physical and medical needs and associated learning difficulties in Poole, Dorset. We also cater for a number of students with Autistic spectrum condition. We are a fully inclusive and integrated school that inspires and creates a wonderfully calm and nurturing environment.

The post holder will be responsible for assisting with student support throughoput the day, both inside and ouside the classroom, this can include but not limited to, reading, maths, ICT, PE, swimming etc. You will work closely with family members and other memebr of the multi-disciplinary team to help meet and review the student’s needs. You will be expected to adhere to the schools safeguarding procedures and our moving and handling guidelines in assisting students with any personal care needs.
Ideally you will have experience of working with children either in a special school or within an educational support setting. Additional knowledge of sensory integration and additional communication skills such as, Makaton, would be an advantage.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
