KS2 Teaching Assistant – General TA | Blackpool | January Start
Location: Blackpool
Start Date: January 2026 (after the Christmas break)
Position Type: Full-time, Term Time Only
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Blackpool to recruit a KS2 Teaching Assistant to join their team from January 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children’s learning and development in Key Stage 2.
About the Role:
As a General Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils across KS2 in both group and one-to-one settings
- Assist the class teacher with planning and delivering engaging lessons
- Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Provide support with classroom management and behaviour
- Contribute to the overall wellbeing and progress of pupils
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have experience working with children in a school or educational setting
- Be confident supporting pupils with varying needs and abilities
- Be proactive, patient, and enthusiastic
- Hold a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) – desirable but not essential
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
