A friendly and supportive primary school in Biggleswade is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team full-time. The role will run until the end of December 2025, with the school set to review and potentially extend the contract into the remainder of the academic year.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting pupils’ learning and wellbeing in a nurturing school environment where every child matters. If you’re keen to make a difference and be part of a collaborative team, this could be the perfect role for you!
Responsibilities:
- Provide in-class support across the primary phase under teacher direction
- Deliver targeted small group and 1:1 support to pupils where needed
- Help prepare resources and contribute to classroom organisation
- Encourage positive behaviour, confidence, and pupil engagement
- Work closely with teachers and staff to ensure every child can succeed
- Support the safeguarding and wellbeing of pupils at all times
Requirements:
- Experience working with children (school-based experience desirable)
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE English and Maths or equivalent)
- A positive, enthusiastic, and adaptable approach
- Team player with excellent communication skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and supporting children’s development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
