Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with an 'Outstanding' SEND school in Bedale who are seeking a teaching assistant on a full time basis, to commence as soon as possible working with students with Autism.
The role will involve working work Key Stage 3 and 4 students who have Autism of varying severity's; the students are in need of extra support and guidance primarily with their English, Maths and Science; however some students may need more generalised support. The main aspect of the role will be helping the children to engage with their learning and supporting the class teacher as well as encouraging personal and social development whilst managing challenging behaviour in lesson time.
Ideally, the candidate will have experience working with Autism; however the client school welcomes candidates with backgrounds in education, youth or social work. You will be passionate about improving the lives of young people and have a strong desire to work with SEND.
You will be supported by a specialist team of SEN recruitment consultants with education backgrounds through your application process and placement within this role. Teaching Personnel can offer teaching assistant's competitive pay rates of up to £65 per day, for the right candidate longer term rates can be negotiated on your behalf.
