Teaching Assistant- Behaviour Specialist job, Plymouth

The Head Teacher at a Plymouth based SEN school is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support a secondary aged child on a 1:1 basis who has SEMH difficulties. You will be working with the pupil in and out of their lessons with their school work as well as supporting their health and well-being.

The role is to start in September 2019 and will be full time, Monday to Friday 8:30am-3:30pm term time only.

The successful candidate will:

• Be proactive and willing to get involved across the school.
• Be passionate and enthusiastic to work with pupils within the setting to enhance their learning and support their welfare and mental health.
• Must have experience of working with young people and will have had experience of working within the education or healthcare sector and with multi-agencies.
• A background/interest in sports could be advantageous as that's an interest of the child's.
