Job Title: Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant

Location: Northolt

Job Type: Full-time

Salary Range: Negotiable pay but guaranteed £80 to £100 a day

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join us at Teaching Personnel. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other professionals to support students with special educational needs, ensuring they have equal opportunities to learn and thrive in the classroom.

Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special educational needs.

Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and other support strategies.

Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and other professionals to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.

Foster positive relationships with students, promoting a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere.

Adapt teaching materials and strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.

Assist with classroom management and behaviour support as needed.

Participate in relevant training and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

Previous experience working with students with special educational needs is preferred.

Relevant qualifications in education or special education.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs.

Ability to work collaboratively with a team of educators and professionals.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
