SEND Teaching Assistant – EN3
Location:West Drayton, UB7 8AH
Hours: Full Time | 8:30am – 3:30pm (Monday – Friday)
Start Date: ASAP | Long-Term Placement

Teaching Personnel are currently working in close partnership with a welcoming and inclusive Primary School based in West Drayton to recruit an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant. This is a full-time, long-term role, ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children with special educational needs, including ASD, SEMH, Non Verbal and Complex needs aswell as challenging behaviour.

The school has built a fantastic reputation for being a supportive and nurturing environment — both for pupils and staff — and is looking for someone to join their dedicated team and contribute to their inclusive ethos.


Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and other complex learning needs.

  • Support pupils in managing challenging behaviour and building emotional regulation strategies.

  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies.

  • Help create a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment tailored to individual needs.


Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 months’ experience supporting pupils with SEND in a UK school setting.

  • Sound knowledge of the UK National Curriculum.

  • Strong behaviour management skills and an adaptable, empathetic approach.

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply through Teaching Personnel).

  • A positive, proactive attitude and the ability to build rapport with pupils and staff alike.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
