Job description

We are currently seeking experienced Residential Support Workers for full time positions within 9 residential homes that we work with.

The provision provides outstanding support for their service users with Autism and Learning difficulties, working to progress their independent living, stabilising their lives through emotional support.

This is an excellent opportunity for applicants who have the desire to make this a long-term career, as the provision is looking for full time members of staff to go on a permanent basis and offer huge promotion opportunities for full-time members of staff.

The Role:

Hours:

The homes are run on a 3 week basis, where you will be working 3 days/week. Within these three days a sleep in is required, so flexible staff is essential.

This role is also run 52 weeks a year, so great for fulltime work seekers.

Pay - ÂŁ9.50 per hour

The Candidate

Ideal candidates will need own transport as the public transport isn't too accessible for some of the homes during these hours, however do still apply as you may be situated near one of the homes.

Candidates must have a passion for pastoral support of young adults and children with various needs.

Previous experience is not completely necessary, however is suitable to this role. Ideal relevant experience can include:

  • Residential / Care Support
  • Youth Work
  • Support Work - Child or Adult
  • Teaching Assistant

  • Work with lovely people - the SLT are extremely supportive and each class has up to 3 other members of staff who work together to support the children
  • Start as a temporary worker through the agency, but take the opportunity to apply for a permanent role when you are ready
  • Make use of excellent facilities including bespoke practical classrooms, a large outdoor area, dark and light sensory rooms, hydrotherapy pool
  • Support the work of speech and language therapists and occupational therapists, as well as a full medical team who are also employed at the school
