Teacher (SEN)

Do you have experience of Teaching pupils with Social, Emotional Mental Health needs? 

OR are you looking for a change and wanting to gain experience within a specialist school? 

The school are currently looking for a Teacher to teach a mixed KS3 class, however pupils are currently working to a KS2 curriculum so Primary Specialists would also be suitable for the role. You do not need to have had previous experience of teaching in a specialist school, however experience of working with children who have additional needs such as in an IR unit or previous experience of supporting SEN pupils before teaching would be an advantage.

A little more about the school

• An all age special school for children and young people who are unable to access mainstream education 
• Pupils have a range of social, emotional or mental health needs
• The classes are small in size ranging from 8-12 children
• Each class has at least 1 TA to support as well as some pupils having individual 1:1 TAs
• They use Team Teach techniques so knowledge of Team Teach de-esculation would be an advantage, we run a termly Team Teach you can attend if not
