Teacher required in Preston Behavioural Unit

*Potential of a permanent opportunity in a Preston SEN School*

Teaching Personnel work closely with an SEN School in the Preston area which specifically caters for pupils with SEMH Difficulties, challenging behaviours and Autism. The School is smaller than average with class sizes of 4 or 5 pupils. The pupils in School do display very challenging behaviours.

The candidate for the role must be hard working, willing to deliver lessons to KS2-4 pupils who have a range of needs including Learning Difficulties, SEMH Difficulties and Autism. The candidate must be hard working, looking for a long term role and be willing to take on a permanent contract if/when one becomes available (which is highly likely due to a recruitment drive in the Accrington area).

The role will be full time and with an immediate start ideally. The role will require you to work from 8.30 - 4.30pm but this will include some planning and marking time. You do not need to be a qualified teacher for this role, candidates will be considered if they have:

- A degree (2:2 or above)

- A masters degree or be willing to undertake a masters degree through the school

- Experience working with pupils who have SEMH Difficulties and challenging behaviours

- Strong behaviour management skills

- Experience delivering lessons to pupils (e.g - Cover Supervisors or intervention tutors will be considered)
