Are you a primary teacher looking for a new direction in your Teaching career?
- Do you enjoy spending more time working with children who need it most but find large class sizes make it difficult?
- Do you enjoy making a real difference to a child's learning potential?
- Have you considered working with special educational needs who require a different approach?
Teaching Personnel are currently looking for mainstream teachers who may be interested in trying teaching within a special needs school. As a Teacher, you already plan lessons and provide emotional support to your students and have no doubt have children with SEN in your classes and word closely with the SENCO in your school.
Working within a SEN school is similar in many ways however you will find in a specialist setting you will have small class sizes allowing you to focus your attention on each individual student and support from LSA's who tend to work 1:1 with each student in the class allowing you to make a real difference.
Teaching Personnel are here to support you and help you find the right role, we have long standing relationships in our local SEN schools and are able to match your skills and experience to make the transition from mainstream to SEN an enjoyable move. We can arrange for you to visit a school and meet the teams to gain a better insight as to how they operate.
We can work around your availability and we also offer CPD opportunities including behaviour management training (Team Teach).
In an SEN school you will not only be supported by the senior leadership team but also specialist within the school such as therapy, nursing and multi-sensory teams.
