The school based in the Gosport area is a vibrant and energising place to be and are a school community united by positivity and belief. Expectations of students and staff alike are relentlessly high to ensure the whole school community strive to be the very best they can be as learners, teachers and support staff.

For January, they wish to appoint a Teacher of Science to deliver both KS3 and KS4. They welcome applications from teachers able to work from 0.6 – full time. The school is looking for an individual who is innovative and is a passionate lifelong learner.  You must be ambitious, hardworking with excellent subject knowledge in order to make a positive contribution to the world class education programme the faculty endeavour to deliver.  In addition to this you will be a motivated individual with a keen interest in encouraging and inspiring students to love learning and excel in Science.

Pupils participate in a range of extra curricular activities and trips to enhance their learning journey through years 7 to 11. STEM is at the centre of their curriculum and they have a designated centre which the department have regular access to along with local primary schools.

The school welcome applications from candidates who:

  • Sound knowledge of KS3 and KS4 curriculum for Science
  • Have UK QTS and a good first degree in science or related degree
  • Can demonstrate they are a reflective practitioner, driven to improve
  • Have a good track record of attendance with good recommendation from prior employers
  • Can teach a A Level Physics (desirable not essential)
  • Is a team player and able to contribute to colleagues development through sharing recourses, best practices and participate in inset days

Applications are welcome from NQTs, to more experienced teachers. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a trial day at the school as part of the interview process to ascertain if you and the school are a good match. Applications for a September 2020 start are also encouraged to apply.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
