Are you a Religious Education Teacher looking for work in the Accrington area?
Teaching personnel are working with a school in the Accrington area to recruit an RE teacher to join their humanities department after the February half term on a 0.8 timetable (4 days per week, Tuesday - Friday). The RE department is highly regarded in the school and are looking for a candidate who is able to deliver Religious Studies lessons in line with their expectations.
The school is an average sized mainstream secondary with approximately 800 pupils on roll. The school has been judged as a 'Good' school in all areas by Ofsted. The role has been made available due to a member of the RE department leaving suddenly. Despite the position being initially temporary until Easter it is Likely that the candidate would be needed up until the summer break.
NQT's and experienced RE teachers would be considered for the role. The school is looking for a candidate with a good knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 RE curriculum who would be confident planning and teaching lessons to a variety of pupil abilities and backgrounds. The timetable is catering to some year 11 classes and so a successful candidate would also need to be able to plan effective intervention activities and be willing to deliver intervention with a small cohort of pupils.
A successful candidate will benefit from the following:
- Suitable for NQT's and experienced teachers
- Potential for a permanent position for a suitable candidate
- Excellent school location with good transport links
If you feel that this role would be suitable for you then contact Robert as soon as possible at Teaching Personnel.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
