They aim to develop expressive movement, confidence in the use of drama conventions, powers of investigation and research and confidence in communication. They are looking for an enthusiastic individual who share these aims and commitments.

Drama is a popular & highly successful choice at GCSE at this school. The department follows the Edexcel GCSE Drama syllabus and they currently look at Blood brother by Willy Russell.

The department runs a Drama club every Thursday after school open to students from years 7-9; students are encouraged to express themselves and develop their skills whilst gaining more performance experience. In addition to this, there are many other opportunities for students to further their performance experience with a highlight being the annual school musical. They are keen for pupils to experience live performances and regularly organise trips to theatres to see professional shows from Chichester Festival Theatre to the West End
