TEACHER OF COMPUTING MPR/UPR, permanent, full time (part time considered)

The Role

This School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, suitably qualified teacher of Computing at Key Stage 3 and 4 to join their team from September. The subject is popular within the school and the accommodation is well resourced and spacious. A passion for developing young adults is essential: this entails a commitment to all learners, to excellence for all, and a belief that a good school can and does make a significant difference to learner's life chances and levels of attainment.

This position is suitable for both pat time and full time staff members and we are encouraging both experienced teachers and NQTs to apply for this position. Full ongoing CPD and support will be offered regardless of your current experience levels.

The position is scheduled to start in September however applicants for October or January start dates will also be considered for this position.

This position will be paid at 2.5% above your current payscale.

The Candidate

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a proven track record of teaching computing at KS3 and KS4
  • Have experience in teaching the OCR GCSE Computer Science syllabus
  • Be confident to teach Python and possess a programming background
  • Have a passion for the subject and the ability to inspire our students
  • Be an excellent classroom teacher who can challenge all our learners to achieve their very best
  • Have relevant qualifications and experience, including a DfE recognised teaching qualification
  • Be an innovative teacher, focused on raising attainment
