Teacher

Animal Husbandry full-time school-based role located in Newton Abbot due to start in September 2020.

If you would like to be considered for this role we are looking for a suitable candidate who has the following skillset and abilities.

Helping learners make progress in Animal Husbandry related activities

Working with the Principal, prepare necessary learning materials and resources for the Animal Husbandry Programme

Planning teaching and learning objectives and delivering learning activities to learners

Selecting and preparing teaching resources that meet learners' needs and interests

Maintain equipment as required

Act as a confidante to the children whilst being aware of and following current safeguarding/child protection guidelines

Complete Team Teach training and support the principals of Team Teach during school hours, both in and out of school

Fundraising (via grant applications where possible), for the development and continuation of the programme.

To monitor and record student progress and report to SLT.

To plan, assess and deliver relevant vocational qualifications as appropriate (Btec etc.).

The school is a free school for children aged 7 to 19 years of age. The needs of the children are SEMH, ASC or Speech and Language and communication needs. All students will have an Educational Health and Care Plan. The school offer KS2 and KS3 project-based learning & school will have a focus on Outdoors as this will be a key focus for all learning. KS4 students will work towards gaining their chosen qualifications alongside there personal development.
