Teaching Personnel are are working with an Alternative Provision in the NG5 area of Nottinghamshire.

The Alternative Provision is an independent school that specialises in supporting students aged 11 to 16 years of age, who have either been excluded or are close to permanent exclusion. The provision offers an alternative approach to education, offering a variety of vocational subjects, including Mechanics, Construction, Health and Social Care and academic subjects such as, GSCE Maths, GCSE English, Science and Citizenship and functional skills.

The are looking for a Full Time Teacher, who is able to teach Biology and Maths up to GCSE Level.

Due to the types of students that the provision caters for, the Ideal candidate would have the following skills:

  • Experience supporting students with SEMH and diss-engagement
  • Knowledge of the KS3/KS4 curriculum
  • Confident in both Biology and Maths
  • Passionate about education and making a difference
  • FQT or NQT ideally
  • Greater understanding of the reasons behind Challenging Behaviour
  • Available Full time

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
