Job description

We are a ‘Good’ Primary school in the Great Harwood area currently recruiting an experienced teacher to lead a year 3 class, with approximately 28-30 pupils. Our ethos within school is ‘Trust, honesty and integrity’, we expect any Teacher entering our school to share this view as well as promote it in others.

 The role is to start March 2023 to the end of the school year 2023. The class range in abilities and may include pupils that require SEN support, you will have a Teaching Assistant in place if required.

  • Competitive rates, £143 - £180 per day.
  • Full time Monday to Friday, 8am – 3.30pm (Extra planning time outside of these hours may be required).
  • The role is to commence September 2024.
  • Temporary with the view to make permanent.

The school is easily accessible by both car and public transport. The ideal candidate must have a good work ethic, be positive, enthusiastic, work well with others and have a passion for pupils’ education. All our teachers entering our school are welcomed by experienced and friendly staff who are more than happy to help practitioners settle into their new roles.

As a Year 3 classroom teacher you would be required to:

  • Plan engaging and structured lessons, from a sound knowledge of the national curriculum and phonics schemes.
  • Implement positive behaviour management within the classroom.
  • Address gaps in learning and follow school strategies to implement within your lesson plans.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
