Teacher for students with Autistic Spectrum Condition

Teaching Personnel are looking for Teachers to join provisions in the Rotherham area, many are through schools meaning that children's ages usually range from 5-16. The children will have varying degrees of Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) and some may display challenging behaviour.

More about the role:

  • Plan and deliver stimulating lessons that are accessible for pupils at varying academic stages
  • You will be supported by a welcoming team of staff including teaching assistants
  • Liaise with parents/carers and other outside agencies such as medical staff to ensure your students are getting the best care

More about you:

  • We are looking for teachers with different specialisms, be that core subjects or creative ones
  • You may be required to travel between roles so a drivers license and your own vehicle is preferential
  • Previous teaching experience and/or experience helping students with ASC is preferred
  • We are looking for qualified and newly qualified teachers
  • Knowledge of safeguarding practices and procedures are essential (Teaching Personnel have a free accredited online Safeguarding course on our CPD Academy)
  • You will be aware of positive de-escalation techniques and able to identify what may trigger students behaviour
