TA with personal care experience needed

A large and inclusive Welsh medium school in Cardiff is looking for a teaching assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a pupil who is due to be statemented in the coming weeks.

The successful candidate will need experience with challenging behaviour and MUST be comfortable with personal care such as nappy changing.

The pupil is in the reception class and there is another TA within the classroom as well, three days per week. The class is also at full capacity, however you will only be required to work on a 1:1 basis with the pupil.

- To develop Welsh as a medium for communicating (both education and social)

- To enable each child to develop their own cultural identity, whilst also promoting and understanding and respect for other cultures.

The successful candidate will need:

- A Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)

- Be registered with the Education Workforce Council

- Be able to provide two valid and recent references
