Job description

Teaching Personnel is seeking a teaching assistant to work in a school for deaf children. As a teaching assistant in this school you will be working with student who struggle with hearing, speech and communication. This school is based in the Bristol and surrounding areas.

This teaching assistant role includes working 1-2-1 or with a small class size, working with students closely with the national curriculum as well as participating in activities to encourage the student to be comfortable in both the deaf and hearing communities.

BSL and any relevant speech, language and communications qualifications and experience is relevant.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
