Teaching Assistant
Teaching Personnel are working with a Pupil Referral Unit in central Hampshire that are currently looking for staff to start ASAP. The school cater for primary and secondary pupils that have been excluded from mainstream school, therefore all the pupils have challenging behaviour. Alongside this they can potentially have other needs such as:
- Autism (ASC/ASD)
- Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
- ADHD
The majority of the current vacancies are for full time, permanent Support Assistants who would work 1:1 or in small groups with these pupils. The candidate would have previous experience working with similar needs or be passionate about working in this type of school. Candidates that are suited for this type of school tend to have experience in some of the following:
- Criminology
- Youth/Community work experience
- SEN experience
- Residential support/care worker
- Sports coaching
- Team Teach
- Youth Offending Services
- Challenging behaviour within family
- Mentoring
- Teaching/Learning support Assistance
- Psychology
