TA - East Sussex / West Sussex

Are you a looking for work in the primary schools sector? I work with schools across East Sussex and West Sussex helping teaching assistants find the right places to be positioned. If you are looking for regular TA work or would like to secure a longer term post, please contact me today to discuss registering. Alternatively, you can upload your details via our website www.teachingpersonnel.com with our simple registration form. Ideally, you will be available for a minimum of 2 days per week and have your own transport or be willing to use public transport to travel to various TA jobs in the local area. Every TA that successfully registers with Teaching Personnel must have a valid DBS or purchase and process a new one in order to work (full assistance will be given).

Duties:

* Plans instructional efforts by discussing assigned teaching area with classroom teacher.

* Prepares instructional plan by providing lesson outline and plan in assigned area for teacher approval.

* Supports instructional plan by preparing and developing teach aids, such as bibliographies, charts, and graphs.

* Presents subject matter to students by utilising a variety of methods and techniques, such as lecture, discussion, and supervised role playing.

* Presents and reinforces concepts by helping students, individually and in groups, with lesson assignments.

* Evaluates students progress by preparing, administering, and grading examinations; discussing progress with parents.

* Maintains quality results by following and enforcing standards.

* Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organisations.

* Enhances school's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
