Are you looking for work Supporting students in the Alton area? Do you have experience working with children who have Special Educational Needs?
Teaching Personnel are working with a Special Needs school who cater for children and young adults up to the age of 23 years, with physical difficulties to include Cerebral Palsy and Muscular Dystrophy, as well as other needs such as communication difficulties. The main purpose of this role is to assist students within their classrooms and daily lives.
As the successful candidate, you will be required to work in both the school as well as the residential sites located on the school premises, where you will be taking on a supportive role in all aspects.
Requirements:
- Assist in implementing individual care plans.
- Flexibility to work different shifts which include weekends and nights.
- Must be comfortable carrying out personal care, and have previous experience doing so.
- Use your initiative and get involved with the pupils.
- Must have a relevant qualification or previous experience working in healthcare, or with Special Needs individuals.
- Be prepared to undergo additional training as required.
- The pupils are encouraged to work independently, so patience is essential.
