I am delighted to announce that we are seeking a driven and enthusiastic Support Worker to join a thriving and friendly school. This school has a strong community feel and encourages the pupils to be confident and resilient in all they do.

About the role

By undertaking this role, you will need to be able to build relationships with year groups and take on supportive and trusting role for pupils from a breadth of backgrounds.

The role will include:

  • Being able to build trusting and meaningful relationship with pupils form all year groups who may need additional support.
  • Jointly working with all other school colleagues, particularly the SENDCo.
  • Assisting pupils to manage and engage with their learning and develop their confidence both in the classroom but also socially.
  • Creating consistency for the pupils and teachers both in and out of the classroom.
  • Implementing any tailored strategies that may improve focus and engagement.
  • Reflecting on your own practice and putting together clear actions plans where improvement may be required.

What we are looking for

  • Experience in similar roles such as support with children.
  • Experience of supporting children with additional needs
  • A child centred approach ensuring patience and compassion.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
  • Minimum Qualification of GSCE C grade or Equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
