SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant – Speke Area

Location: Speke, Liverpool
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full-time, Term-time only

Pay Rate: £13.75 - £15.00 per hour (depending on experience)

We are looking for a dedicated SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in the Speke area. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with a pupil who requires additional support, helping them thrive both academically and socially.

Job Description

  • Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with SEN needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum.
  • Assist with classroom activities, behaviour management, and personal development.
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored strategies.
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to staff and parents.

Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN (e.g., Autism, ADHD, Speech & Language difficulties).
  • Patient, empathetic, and able to build strong relationships.
  • Flexible and proactive approach to learning support.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 TA or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
