Support Assistant - School in Huddersfield

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a graduate Support Assistant for a client school to join their motivated team on a full time basis. This Support Assistant role will start as soon as possible, with the potential to run until the end of the academic year!

The position is to work in a school providing education for young people aged 11 to 19 years with severe, complex or profound and multiple learning difficulties. Many of our pupils have additional needs including autism, sensory impairment, challenging behaviour, medical and physical difficulties. The school endeavours to provide a safe and supportive school environment which is both educationally stimulating and appropriately challenging for students.

The successful Support Assistant will work across the classes, assisting the class teacher with the day to day running of the classroom as well as working on a 1:1 or group basis with students. The right candidate will be dedicated to providing support to young people with additional needs and be passionate about education.
