Attention, Primary School Teachers!

Calling all primary teachers to join our team in a dynamic teaching role. In this capacity, you will be entrusted with shaping young minds across a diverse curriculum. We're seeking individuals with a creative and imaginative flair, capable of deploying innovative teaching strategies and adaptable resources to ignite the passion for learning and development in children.

Your competence and confidence will shine through as you create a secure and nurturing learning environment that fosters growth and exploration.

Effective communication is paramount – you'll need to connect with children on a relatable level. Strong written communication skills are essential for conveying the progress and development of your pupils as they navigate the curriculum, providing meaningful summaries of their achievements and observations.

Your driving motivation will be centered on nurturing the development of each child, preparing them successfully for the transition to secondary school.

The Ideal Candidate Will Demonstrate:

  1. Profound knowledge and understanding of the curriculum guidelines for Primary

  2. Proven experience in navigating school policies, especially those related to health and safety and safeguarding.

  3. A deep comprehension of how National Curriculum test information contributes to the development of both teachers and the school as a whole.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Thoughtfully plan and deliver a flexible, differentiated teaching program tailored to the unique abilities of all students in your class.

  • Maintain an engaging structure in every lesson to sustain motivation, challenge students, and facilitate their progress.

  • Make efficient use of school assessment data regarding student attainment when shaping your future lesson plans.

  • Establish high expectations for student behavior and classroom management to ensure effective teaching.

  • Cultivate a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment where students can thrive.

  • Regularly set ambitious yet attainable targets for students, closely monitoring their progress and achievements.

  • Continuously develop learning resources and activities, adapting materials to meet each child's individual needs.

  • Carefully monitor individual student progress during SATs preparation, providing supportive guidance to help students meet or exceed their expectations.

  • Foster effective, informative relationships with parents/guardians through shared knowledge among practitioners.

  • Diligently assess and monitor classwork and homework, offering constructive feedback and setting targets for future progress.

  • Collaborate and liaise with Teaching Assistants to ensure that the educational needs of specific students are met and their progress is monitored.

  • Take ownership of your own professional development needs, identifying areas where continuous professional development courses may be beneficial.

  • Attend meetings, reviews, and training sessions in accordance with school policy.

Working Hours:

  • Full-time hours (Minimum 8:30 am – 3:30 pm)
  • Additional hours may be required for staff meetings, inspections, and parent consultations.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
