Are you looking to gain regular work in the Rochdale LEA as a supply teacher in secondary schools?

Teaching Personnel are working across the Rochdale borough providing staffing and cover to a number of schools, ensuring there is a regular stream of work available to Teaching Personnel's supply staff.

Teaching Personnel are the market leader in education, and are well established in supporting schools across Greater Manchester with a range of teaching staff solutions from single day, weekly and fixed term covers along with an introduction to long term and permanent positions. Whilst working as a supply teacher through Teaching Personnel, you will support schools when they have absent members of staff and deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure students are behaving themselves during lessons.

Whilst working as a supply teacher, you will potentially work in a number of different schools with varying policies and approaches to teaching and learning so you will need to be adaptable and resilient in ensuring students are continually working in a positive learning environment. The ability to engage students who are unfamiliar with yourself will be highly advantageous as a supply teacher.

Requirements to work as a supply teacher;

- A PGCE or relevant teaching based qualification specialising in secondary education

- Previous experience teaching in a secondary environment

- A firm approach to classroom management to ensure students stay on task during lessons
