Supply teachers needed to work in secondary schools in the High Peak, New Mills, Buxton, Glossop and Stockport to cover absent teachers and members of staff. You will be given the opportunity to teach as a supply teacher in a variety of secondary schools that match your personal preferences and work availability. As well as these areas we work with secondary schools throughout Greater Manchester with their staffing and supply.

Supply teachers will be assigned to a timetable for the day where you will deliver set lessons; ensuring students remain on task completing set work and adhere to the schools behaviour policy. We can give you the opportunity to work 1 to 5 days a week, mornings or afternoons in local secondary schools.

Highlights of working as a supply teacher;

  • Daily rates of pay paid on a weekly basis
  • Access to teaching personnel’s CPD academy and training courses
  • Online diary and flexible work schedule
  • Become a regular supply teacher in local schools

Essential criteria for the supply teacher role;

  • Qualified teacher status in the UK and experience of working in a UK secondary school
  • Suitable teaching or school based references
  • Apply for a fully enhanced DBS certificate

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
