Successful secondary schools in the Derby and Derbyshire areas are seeking new and dynamic Supply Teachers to join them in supporting our schools from April.
We have an excellent relationship with a number of secondary schools across Derby and Debryshire including the areas of Alvaston, Ilkeston, Swadlincote and Ripley, who have a need for day-to-day and short term support on an on going basis. This would be the perfect solution for those seeking a better work / life balance as you have the flexibility to work as much or as little as you want on a weekly basis (you have access to your own personal online diary).
Who can be a Supply Teacher?
- An individual who holds a type of teaching qualification (including overseas trained teachers with QTS in England)
- An individual who has achieved UK QTS (primary, secondary or FE Level)
- An individual who demonstrates an excellent atttitude and behaviour management skills
- A flexible timetable (ideally 2 days minimum per week)
- Adaptable to a change in environment
- Be able to travel / drive up to 1 hour
What is it like to be a Supply Teacher?
- Advanced bookings and morning bookings - On the morning you will be called between 7am and 8am for work on the same day
- Schools will provide the planning for the one day and a welcome pack to help you settle into the life of their school day (for longer termn positions you would be required to plan)
- Delivering cover work already set by the teacher, supporting them when they need and a handover for the staff members return
- Payment based on a daily rate which is always paid a week in arears

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
