We are in search of Supply Teachers in and around Colchester to take on supply teaching contracts in the North of the county. These roles can range from 1 day cover to 3 terms and be full or part time. 

Recently we have had contracts in alternative provisions and mainstream schools, covering daily sickness, maternity/paternity leave and long term absence. Our teachers in these contracts are expected to mark and plan the lessons, and although only in school for a short period of time, you are treated like a full time member of staff. 

This could be perfect for someone who likes to experience new environments, and pass on their skill set to new schools. Often, these bookings lead onto future bookings for PPA teaching, small group work and regular daily supply teaching bookings. 

The ideal Supply Teacher applicant will:

  • Be able to work from 1-5 days per week (flexible)
  • Have a clear knowledge and understanding of National Curriculum - either Primary or Subject specific in Secondary
  • Are committed, professional and are good communicators with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to take on a challenge teaching new students and enhancing their learning experience
  • Be approachable, engaging and encouraging to strengthen relationships with staff and students
  • Ensuring all safety regulations are adhered to
