Location: Watford

Pay: £120 - £190 per day depending on experience (in line with Teacher Pay Scale MPS/UPS)

A fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher seeking their next post at post at an ‘Outstanding’ Catholic School in the Watford area. This vibrant and high achieving co-educational school currently has just over 1,000 pupils on roll, with a well-established and supportive Mathematics department which includes 7 members of staff.

The school are looking for a motivating Maths Teacher to join their team on a full-time temporary basis initially who will deliver inspiring and engaging Maths lessons to encourage pupils to reach their full potential in the subject.

The successful teacher will join will be responsible for delivering KS3 and GCSE Mathematics lessons to mixed ability groups across years 7 – 11. They will work within a team of talented and specialist Mathematics teachers and will help contribute towards the preparation and planning of lessons. We are looking for a passionate teacher who will be able to inspire all students to achieve their potential.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience teaching Maths up to Key Stage 4 however, the post is open to those who have recently qualified with a QTS too!

Responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing, planning, and delivering engaging and productive lessons in line with the current curriculum
  • Marking work and past papers/mock papers in preparation for GCSE’s
  • Demonstrating a passion for education
  • Excellent subject knowledge
  • Demonstrates strong communication skills
  • Can identify the needs of individual students and ensure equal opportunity for development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
