Sports Coaches for Schools
It is widely known that sports coaches often possess most of the key characteristics needed to become excellent Teaching Assistants in schools:
- Effective communicators
- Confident in front of people
- Organised and effective planners
- Problem solvers
These are some of the most important attributes of an excellent Teaching Assistant who support pupils on a 1:1 basis throughout their school day.
It is commonplace that sports coaches who become Teaching Assistants gain valuable school experience to enhance their CV when applying for PGCE courses, particularly for Physical Education. Sport-minded Teaching Assistants are highly valued in Secondary schools as they are keen to be involved with the PE department in assisting with fixtures and trainings for the many sports that pupils engage in throughout a school year.
Rate: £12.85 – 13.85 p/hr
Pay: Weekly (Fridays) & Holiday pay inclusive
Hours: 08:30 – 15:30 (Term time only)
Location: Cardiff
Availability: Full & Part Time roles available

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
