Sports Coach

Friendly and supportive secondary school seeking a recent sports graduate or sports coach to support in facilitating PE lessons to all year groups.

• Full time Sports Coach role commencing from September 2020 or sooner if appropriate
• 12 month temporary contract in the first instance (September 2020 – July 2021)
• Potential introduction to a permanent role thereafter
• Smaller than average secondary school in Prestwich with good public transport links
• Learn from and work alongside experienced PE Teachers
• Excellent opportunity for a recent graduate looking to train as a Teacher in the future
• Earn up to GBP1300 per month (dependent on experience)

As a sports coach at our partner secondary school in Prestwich, the successful candidate will be supporting the class teacher during PE lesson, facilitating both the theory and physical aspects of the KS3 and KS4 curriculums. Ideally, candidates will have experience of planning and delivering engaging sports sessions. Successful candidates will also be expected to deliver pre-planned lessons on behalf of the teachers in the department, which will be a valuable experience for those considering a PGCE or other teacher training programme in the future.
