Sports Coach 
Location: Blackburn with Darwen
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Pay: £13.75 - £14.50 per hour
Contract Type: Full-time, ongoing
Start Date: ASAP

We are currently seeking a dedicated and confident Sports Coach to join a Secondary Alternative Provision setting in Blackburn with Darwen. This is a full-time role, ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting young people through sport and physical activity.

The successful candidate must have strong behaviour management skills and be able to set firm but fair boundaries. You will be working with students who may display challenging behaviour, so resilience, consistency, and a calm approach are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging sports sessions tailored to student needs
  • Support students’ personal and social development through physical activity
  • Promote positive behaviour and routines
  • Work collaboratively with staff to create a safe and structured learning environment

Requirements:

  • Experience working with young people, preferably in an educational or alternative provision setting
  • Proven ability to manage challenging behaviour effectively
  • A proactive, supportive, and professional attitude
  • Relevant coaching qualifications are desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
