Location: Blackburn with Darwen
Hours:
Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 3:20pm
Friday: 8:00am – 2:30pm
Pay: £13.75 – £14.50 per hour
Start Date: ASAP
We are currently seeking a committed and resilient Behaviour Mentor to support pupils within a secondary Alternative Provision based in Blackburn with Darwen.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in behaviour management, youth work, or working as a Teaching Assistant, who is confident in building strong relationships with pupils and managing challenging behaviours effectively.
Key Responsibilities:

Supporting students as a General Teaching Assistant across the school day

Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour in a calm and consistent manner
-
Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage engagement
-
Working closely with teaching staff to create a safe and supportive learning environment

Supporting pupils’ social, emotional and behavioural development
The ideal candidate will:

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
