Are you a recent Sports Graduate looking to step into Education?

Are you resilient, patient and confident and want to work with the most vulnerable children?

Do you relish a challenge and are looking for a role where you can include your sport/ PE skills?

If so, then maybe the Sports Graduate Teaching Assistant is perfect for you!

We are currently looking for a sports graduate to fill a full-time Teaching Assistant position in Bath. Why sports grads? Well this isn't a sport specific role but this school caters to students who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health and as such, there is a lot of outdoor education. The vast majority of students here are heavily engaged in sport. The school have had excellent and possiblly the best success with SPorts graduates and would like this to continue.

This is like any other Teaching Assistant role in the sense you are there to support students academically and pastorally but this school is like no other. Most students have been or at risk of being permanently excluded. This means even though you may not be experienced you must be confident, resilient and patient. These students are from the age of 11 - 16 and quite frankly, can be a real handful. You will be supported throughout by the class teacher and support staff but you will need to be proactive and be able to hold your own.

This is a full-time, Monday to Friday role which pays GBP66.30 to start either as soon as possible or for the right candidate, after the May half term. It will be at least up until the end of the academic year and if it goes particularly well it could go onto a permanent contract.

The school is in the Odd Down area of Bath which is very easy to get to but unless you live in Bath, not easily accessible with public transport.

If you are interested in this role, please get in contact immediately quoting "Sport Graduate Teaching Assistant." I look forward to hearing from you.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
