Speech and Language graduate required for two form entry School in Kirklees, WF13

Recent SLCN graduate required

Previous experience working with children desirable

Fixed contract from September

A client school of Teaching Personnel have come to us looking for a graduate with experience working with pupils with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) to start work ASAP in September with a view to that being a fixed term one year contract. The role will include working with pupils specifically identified in every class on a 1:1 or small group basis. The pupils identified will have varying levels of ability when it comes to speech and language as well as their communication needs. Having experience in phonics would be ideal especially when working with the pupils in the Early Years or Key Stage 1.

The ideal candidate will be expected to contribute to a positive learning environment for the pupils and will be expected to deliver pre-planned work to the children but have the ability to adapt the curriculum to make it accessible for the children being taught in line with their educational healthcare plans.

The school is two form entry and was recently graded Good by OFSTED being highly praised for the quality of the teaching and the support of the classroom assistants in class and around the school. If you are successful with your application the school is a fast and exciting place to work with strong support from all the staff including the Senior Leadership Team.
