I am currently recruiting Teaching Assistants for an SEN school in NWKent. This is an ambitious school for children and young people aged 2-19 with profound, severe and complex needs, many of whom have a diagnosis of autism. The school invests in employing the best staff and in training them to achieve; as such the school strives to engage staff who are self-motivated, professional and ambitious.

The school are looking for exceptional people to join their team who are able to demonstrate belief in the school culture and ethos; have a passion for working with children and young people with special needs as well as creativity and energy.

Ideal candidates will be/have:

  • Professional and caring individual
  • Have a good understanding about safeguarding and working with vulnerable children
  • Flexible, adaptable and be able to use own initiative
  • Must be comfortable with personal care (toileting)
  • Moving and Handling (incl. Hoists) beneficial but not essential
  • Experience working within SEN or working with children is beneficial but not essential (all applications welcome)

As the range of pupil's ages and SEN requirements vary, I am looking for flexible team members who are confident to work across all aspects of SEN and all key stages.

Position details:

  • Full-Time Role 08:50am - 15:30pm
  • SEN Teaching Assistant (long-term contract)
  • Ages 2 - 19
  • SEN - Profound and multiple learning difficulties
  • Daily rate from £57 - 70 (depending on experience)
  • Opportunity to apply for a permanent contract
