SEN TA to work with Medical Requirements
A large Primary school located in LE2 are looking to recruit a Special Needs Teaching Assistant to work with a Primary aged student who has medical requirements. This will start from Easter and be a maternity cover.
The students medical requirements include PEG (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy) feeding however full training will be provided for the successful candidate and Personal Care such as changing.
The role and ideal candidate:
- Must have previous experience working with SEN children
- Supporting the child with any needs they have such a Personal Care (another adult will be there to help)
- Be willing to have training in PEG Feeding (provided by the school) to assist the child
- Knowledge of the curriculum
- Passionate and calm about making a difference with SEN children
- Be patient and able to build a bond with the child
- Must be available to start from Easter
