Special Needs Teaching Assistants – Hampshire
(Winchester, Basingstoke, Farnborough, Hook)

Specialist schools across Hampshire are looking for dedicated, compassionate, and motivated individuals to join their teams as Special Needs Teaching Assistants (SEN TAs). These rewarding positions are based in both Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) settings, supporting children and young people with a wide range of additional needs. Pupils may present with autism, learning difficulties, communication needs, sensory differences, or social, emotional, and behavioural challenges, and each setting offers a structured, supportive environment tailored to help them thrive.

As an SEN TA, you will play a vital role in helping pupils access learning, develop confidence, and build essential life skills. You will work alongside teachers, therapists, and experienced support staff to provide consistent, individualised support, both in the classroom and during therapeutic or structured activities. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a difference and who enjoy working in a nurturing and collaborative educational environment.

Requirements

  • Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain)

  • Right to work in the UK
