Location: Near Sholing, Southampton

Pay: £13.75 per hour

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday

Start Date: ASAP

Contract: Temporary (with the opportunity for a permanent position)

Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming Primary SEN school near Sholing. The school supports pupils with a range of complex needs, and we are looking for someone patient, nurturing, and passionate about helping every child achieve their full potential.

About the Role:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils with a range of complex learning and behavioural needs.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and accessible lessons.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support.
  • Encourage independence and positive social interaction.
  • Support with personal care and emotional regulation as required.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Has experience supporting children with SEN (particularly complex needs).
  • Is calm, resilient, and adaptable.
  • Works well as part of a team and has good communication skills.
  • Holds or is willing to obtain an enhanced DBS on the update service.
